‘Underground Vibes’ is the debut studio album by French DJ and producer, DJ Cam, released in 1995 on his own label, Street Jazz Records.

This pioneering project represents a key moment in the rise of French trip-hop, a musical movement born from the fusion of hip-hop, jazz, electronic music and cinematic atmospheres. 

Far from the commercial trends of the time, DJ Cam offers instrumental introspective, and atmospheric music infused with a deep love for jazz and 1990s hip-hop culture.

Through carefully selected samples, smooth beats and airy soundscapes, the artist creates an immersive sonic universe, halfway between New York and Paris, between boom bap and downtempo.

The album stands out with tracks such as ‘Mad Blunted Jazz’, which has since become iconic, as well as ‘Dieu Reconnaîtra Les Siens’, which illustrates the subtle blend of spirituality, groove and minimalism.
